Everyone faces challenges in day-to-day life, but sometimes life can become overwhelming and complicated. At Limitless Psychology, we are here to help.
At Limitless Psychology we recognise that everyone is unique. We will work closely with you to understand your experience and use a variety of evidence-based psychological interventions that are chosen based on your particular circumstances.
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
Family System Therapy
People go to therapy for all kinds of reasons, whether seeking help with a specific mental health issue or simply reaching a particular life goal.
The point is, you don’t need to be at your wit’s end to benefit from seeing a psychologist.
At Limitless Psychology, we believe that therapy is an emotional and mental wellbeing check. It’s so easy to battle through life without taking time to check in and see how we are doing beneath it all.
At Limitless Psychology, we have had training in multiple therapies. The therapies described on this page are the approaches we find to be the most helpful (but often, there is overlap between therapies).
Remember – good therapists have good technical skills (which allow them to tailor their approach to best suit a client’s individual needs). Still, they also have exceptional interpersonal skills that will enable them to work with you within the moment-to-moment processes that unfold during each session.
All people and all problems are unique. All our therapies are individualised and evidence based. As such, we do not use a ‘one size fits all’ approach to therapy. We will take the time to get to know you and tailor your therapy appropriately.
Anxiety is the body’s physical response to a threat or perceived threat. Everyone experiences anxiety from time to time. It causes rapid breathing, heart palpitations, butterflies in the stomach and mental responses such as excessive fears, worries or obsessive thinking. People who experience anxiety can experience situations much worse than they are, affecting concentration, sleep, and daily life. Could seeing a psychologist help?
Depression affects everyone slightly different. Maybe it started with not having the motivation to do some activities, but it becomes hard to do the little things over time and now just getting out of bed is an effort. Things have slowly become more challenging, and it feels like nothing will help. Things will get better, and in time you can enjoy the things you once did, with some help that could happen with some strategies that are tested and proven to help.
Grief is a natural response to loss. People deal with Grief in many ways and it can affect every part of your life; your emotions, thoughts and behaviour, beliefs, physical health, your sense of self and identity, and your relationships with others. People can feel sad, angry, anxious, shocked, regretful, relieved, overwhelmed, isolated, irritable or numb when grief comes.
Grief has no set pattern. Everyone experiences grief differently. Through the process of grief, however, you begin to create new experiences and habits that work around your loss. This is where professional help can help.
All people go through stressful events, but what happens when things change much faster than we are able to cope with either emotionally or mentally. At times like this some people experience overwhelming feelings, question your ability to get through things or become more reckless with things than you usually would be.
Time to talk to someone that can understand and help unpack.
Parents want the best for their children and want to give them the best chance of making the most of life. But, what are healthy boundaries, how do children learn to do things for themselves, and how do parents stay connected while setting boundaries with children?
Every family interacts differently, but we are here to go through the strategies for successful boundary setting and healthy attachment.
Addiction is an inability to stop using a substance or behaviour, causing psychological and physical harm. People with addiction issues continue in behaviours that become compulsive and often continue despite harmful consequences.
Addiction treatment is highly personalized and often requires the support of the individual’s community or family. If you want help with your addiction or struggling with a loved one who is in the grips of addiction, call and speak to us about ways to help you cope.
At Limitless Psychology, we believe building confidence is an individual process, and every person has strengths where they acknowledge them or not. At Limitless Psychology, we will explore and highlight where your strengths are.
Together, we can explore what areas you wish to build confidence in, whether within a work situation, social context or within yourself.
A healthy amount of stress can be helpful. It drives some people and overwhelms others.
